Can you make a coin disappear by rubbing it into your arm?

Spin a coin on the table, and announce that it is a magic coin, and that you can make it disappear by rubbing it into your arm.
|
Pick up coin with your right hand and rub it against your left arm.
|
Take your right hand away, letting the coin fall on the table. Act surprised and say, "I guess I didn't rub hard enough." Do this again and remark, "My skin must be tough; it takes a lot of rubbing."
Materials: A coin.

Now pick up the coin in your left hand and pretend to put it in your right, but palm it in your left hand.
|
Start rubbing as before, pretending you are using the coin. Meanwhile, lift your left hand and casually scratch your neck, letting the coin drop inside your shirt collar.
|
Then take your right hand away from your arm and show that the coin has vanished!
