Can you make a coin vanish into thin air?

The secret of this trick is to put a small amount of soft soap on a corner of the handkerchief while no one is watching.

Place dime in the center of the handkerchief.

Pick up the corner nearest your right hand, which should be the corner with the soap. Then press it on the dime.

Take the other three corners of the handkerchief and fold down over the first corner. Let a person standing by feel the dime, and with that, tell him you are going to pass it right through the table. Then let your fist come down on it with a thud.

Next, place the thumbs of each hand under the folded edge, as shown.

With a quick outward movement, straighten the edge and grasp the corners. If you have done this properly the coin, which had been stuck by the soap to one of the corners, is now concealed in your right hand. Deftly pocket the coin while holding the handkerchief up for inspection. If you can keep up the patter while doing this trick, it will help.
